Scotland's historic Crown Gaugers — the Excise Officers who walked from distillery to distillery across the glens — were entitled to a portion of every cask they assessed. This was their levy, their due, their share. The Angel's Share rises in vapour through the warehouse oak. The Gauger's Share was claimed by the Crown.

We named our company in their honour. Like them, we assess every cask with rigour and a trained nose. Unlike them, we answer only to the whisky itself.

We are an independent Scottish bottler operating from Kirkwall, Orkney. We identify, assess, and secure individual casks from distilleries across Scotland — bottling them without compromise, at cask strength, without chill filtration, without colouring.

Each release is curated as a three-bottle flight: a narrative in whisky, from opening note to lasting finish. It is how we believe whisky should be experienced.
